Regional Reliability Manager

Our client, based in Luxembourg, is one of the market leader in the production of float glass.
He is currently looking for a Regional Reliability Manager to join a new project starting from scratch. In this position, you will be part of a large-scale project to lead across Europe (Luxembourg, Germany, Spain, Hungary…).


Your main responsibilities will be to develop the reliability across the company. To do so, you will be in charge of influencing the management mindset on each European Site.

You develop the plant maintenance personal and support teamwork with the reliability managers in the region and across the company. You work with the plant leadership teams to develop their knowledge of reliability processes and techniques. You provide feedback to assess the capability of a Site with respect to reliability working with the plant manager. You assist in the development of plans to improve both knowledge/skills and talent when needed. You provide input on potential candidates for leadership positions to support succession planning per above. You are willing to freely share information to enable the success of others and create proven practices to enable sharing of knowledge.

In this position, you will serve as a regional role model for the guiding principles and Leader Expectations. You will seize opportunities to create teachable moments relative to Market Based Management.

You insure that reliability activities support the regional compliance requirements. You work as an information resource for safety as it relates to maintenance. You insure that reliability activities support the regional compliance requirements particularly for the emissions control systems at the plant.

You directly work with the plants on their reliability plan and help facilitate their journey. You support plant reliability input for the capital process. You are the principal resource when it comes to support root cause analysis for the follow up on reliability issues to enable continuous improvement. You continuously improve the region’s reliability systems to reduce unplanned events. You build relationships with the Operations organizations to improve customer focus and translate their needs into reliability activities.


To succeed, you have proven experience in maintenance leadership positions or have background reliability fundamentals and maintenance work flow processes (RCM facilitator, 6-sigma Green Belt / Black Belt). You have the ability to lead cross-functional groups and to drive improvements without direct reporting relationships.

You hold a BSc in Engineering. You are willing to travel around Europe (around 50%) and have excellent knowledge in change management. You are also at ease with dealing with failures and are known to be a good teamplayer. You are fluent in English, French and Spanish being assets.
