Our client, a law firm in Luxembourg, is looking for an AML KYC M/F who speaks English and French. The candidate will integrate the risk management and Compliance department in charge of ensuring that the group procedures and policies reflect local law requirements.
The candidate ensures that the firm complies with internal policies and procedures and meets applicable laws and regulations, including the AML-CTF legislation and GDPR. He works under the regulatory and compliance lawyer of the company. He assists with the implementation of enhancements and changes to our internal processes in respect of matter opening, AML-CTF and data retention compliance. The candidate assists also with the implementation of the matter opening procedure’s company by advising legal teams as to the templates to be used, confirm key terms of existing engagement terms, liaise with the legal teams or their clients to collect all relevant information and ensure proper record keeping. He ensures AML-CTF policy by advising the legal teams as to the templates to be used based on the client profile, running searches in available public websites, liaising with legal teams or their clients to collect KYC documents, liaising with the global team in charge of the on-boarding of new clients, update clients’ KYC files, carry out internal audits and ensure proper record keeping. He also manages data retention policy by monitoring the regular closure of files and assisting with the deletion of data as per the data retention policy.
More generally, the candidate works closely with legal teams to ensure compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures in the areas of matter opening, AML-CTF and ensure that the process is as efficient and streamlined as possible, whilst remaining thorough and rigorous.
The candidate has a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Law or Finance or Business Administration with already 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, ideally in the legal / professional services sector. The candidate has knowledge of regulatory practices in particular AML-CTF and GDPR. He has the ability to quickly assimilate internal processes.
Moreover, the ideal candidate has a good interpersonal and organisational skill with a good attention to detail and professionalism. He is proactive and do not hesitate to take the lead on projects and interacts with relevant stakeholders. The candidate is a team player with an open-minded. He is also organize and has the ability to set priorities and work with tight deadlines. #1300451
