Compliance officer Private Equity AML KYC M/F

Our client, a Private Bank in Luxembourg, is looking for an Senior Private Equity AML Officer. This is a temporary work contract for a period of 6 months renewable. The candidate joins a global business of more than 120 investment professionals and a network of 13 offices across Europe, Asia and North America. He reports to the Chief compliance officer based in Luxembourg and contribute to support the Chief Compliance Officer in building and engaging the Business with the Compliance teams.

The candidate raises the compliance profile by liaising with all appropriate key stakeholders. He provides a senior advisory/expertise role in compliance matters and establishes / maintains the AML/CTF and Compliance Framework within the company. He supports in the performance of the Compliance Risk Assessment and development of the Compliance Monitoring Plan based on the Compliance Risk Assessment. He performs controls related to the Compliance Monitoring Plan and recommends adequate actions as per weaknesses identified. The candidate contributes to discussions on new business activities providing compliance expertise and advice, ensuring that regulatory requirements can be met and that any conflict of interest is dealt with. He keeps an oversight of the regulatory and legal changes in order to advise and ensure duly compliance at in-force date by communicating collaboratively and continually with the management group, Legal and other stakeholders.

The Senior Private Equity AML Officer supervises the Regulatory Reporting Governance with different competent authorities and the collection of the management information data in terms of KRIs and prepare the compliance reporting to the senior management and board of directors in a timely manner. He develops and implements training programs in connection to Compliance matters and he adds value through lateral thinking and key input to Risk and Compliance management matters. The candidate maintains AML and Compliance company policies and procedures he establishes and maintains the AML and compliance training plan for all employees. He identify, assess, measure, monitor and report the AML and Compliance risks associated with the Company’s current and proposed future business activities including risks in relation to outsourcing activities.

The candidate is also responsible for maintaining the relationship with the regulator and liaise with relevant external bodies and regulators on compliance matters; exercises any specific legal responsibilities such as reporting suspicious transactions related to AML/ TF. He maintains a regulatory diary and action log. He supports the Compliance department in preparing the onsite visits on and drafting concise and high-quality due diligence summarizing the related findings on the service providers of the Company and supports in monitoring of the Branches. He ensures timely follow-up of all counterparts’ due diligence processes.

The ideal candidate has an university degree in Law or Audit and an adequate professional experience in a relevant Compliance position with a minimum of 10 years of experience. He has a strong understanding of the relevant rules and regulations for compliance theme areas, including Marketing, AML/KYC laws, MiFID, FATCA/CRS and Luxembourg's regulations and CSSF Circulars related to Compliance and Funds. If the candidate has a compliance certification it is an advantage.

The candidate has an ability to work autonomously and independently with a competence to accuracy and excellent attention to details and analytical skills. He is a team player with strong organizational and good communication skills and takes initiative to constantly improve processes. He has solid knowledge of investment funds, including both UCITS and AIFMD regulations. He is fluent, both written and orally, in English. French would be an asset. He has strong interpersonal skills and he is proficient with MS Office. #1306856
