Our client, an European Institution is looking for a Financial Risk Management Analyst who speaks English, to integrate the Risk department. This is a temporary contract for 1 year.
The candidate supports the identification, monitoring and management of the Foreign Exchange (FX) risk arising our client own resources operations and in its non-EU mandates in line with the Financial Risk Guidelines of the Bank and with Best Banking Practices/regulations, in order to protect the Bank against undue FX rates variations. In the domain of FX Risk Management, the candidate supports the definition and/or the update of the market risk measurements and methodologies, as well as enhances the current market risks reporting framework and/or introduces further indicators if and when required. The candidate provides support with the implementation and the enhancement of market risk management systems, ensuring the adequate monitoring of our client's FX risk position. He contributes to the production of reports relevant to the FX Risk Management as well as report, analyse and/or check the FX position of the Bank, suggesting hedging actions on specific transactions. He participates in the elaboration and documentation of Financial Risk policies and guidelines in the domain of FX risk management, in particular at Group level, by keeping them up to date with regulation and market best practice. He respond to ad-hoc/non-recurrent requests by the Head of Unit and/or by the Head of Division. He actively follow the latest best banking practice/regulation/accounting evolutions on relevant subjects for the Division. The candidate has also to reports to the Head of Unit, working closely with the Departments involved in financial and control matters, especially with the Finance Directorate, the Directorate for Lending Operations and the Financial Control Department. He also interacts, where appropriate, with external counterparts and both Internal and External Auditors.
The ideal candidate has a university degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or another quantitative subject. If the candidate has a post-graduate studies in these areas and/or professional certification it would be an advantage. Moreover the candidate need to have a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in Finance (ALM, Risk Management, Capital Markets, Treasury). The candidate has a practical experience and knowledge of ALM and Risk Management tools and processes, and market risk management techniques (theory, principles and practices). He proven track record in the formulation, development and implementation of FX risk management and ALM strategies and their related operational processes (Front & Back Office, Accounting, IT etc.). Good understanding of IFRS/IAS accounting principles. The candidate has a good knowledge of banking regulation and best banking practices and experience in their implementation with a good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to write clear and concise reports/notes/debriefings, proficient knowledge and experience in using Excel and VBA. Finally he has an excellent knowledge of English. French would be an advantage and a knowledge of other European Union languages would be an advantage. #1297996
