The Global Fund Administration department is responsible for the oversight of approximately 600 pooled vehicles domiciled in the US, Luxembourg, Cayman Islands, as well as other global locations across the world.
For their office in Luxembourg, our client looking for a Fund Administration Analyst.
Plays a key role in the administration of the day to day activities of pooled vehicles for the Global Fund Administration department. The candidate will play an integral role in ensuring the requirements of our internal and external customers are managed efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure Fund Compliance with IRS, SEC, CSSF and other regulatory bodies
- Prepare/Review reports and schedules for Internal Customers (Portfolio Managers, Marketing, Legal, etc).
- Review and comprehend partnership accounting if for an alternative accounting role
- Recommend and participate in the implementation of changes and enhancements to the department etc.
The role does not entail performing day to day accounting, which can become redundant and mundane whereas our role is more dynamic and analytical in nature.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the mutual fund or finance industry as well as a 4 year degree in a business field (preferably accounting or finance related).
Knowledge of tax issues, various jurisdictional regulations (SEC, Lux/UCITS, Cay, Delaware Partnerships, etc), financial reporting and the use of spreadsheets. It also requires excellent analytical skills, communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
