Our client is a leading asset manager in the Nordic region with around 140 employees across offices in the Nordic region and Luxembourg and has more than EUR 80bn assets under management. The Management Company is principally engaged in UCITS fund administration, management, supervision and international marketing & sales. The International Marketing & Sales team is responsible for active fund distribution to international wholesale and institutional clients in markets outside the Nordic region, whereas the Governance and Administration team deals with the daily operations, contractual distributors as well as the compliance, risk and legal aspects of the fund management activity. They are looking for a Fund administration officer M/F and offer a permanent contract with an attractive package.
The candidate is in charge of the reconciliation of the fund accounting and transfer agent data. Periodical and yearly controls of KYC/ AML data, 1st line of defence controls of fund’s register. Monitoring of external reports and assessment of quality of data provided. Preparing and coordinating the payment of dividends. Control of financial reports produced for the ManCo and for the fund (audited and non-audited report) and triggering improvements. Ensuring a swift implementation of internal projects (eg. sub-funds launches, share classes launches, sub-funds name changes, notice to investors etc) in connection with fund accounting agent, transfer agent or depositary bank. The candidate is a first contact person for external and internal stake holders queries and provide with assistance and information linked to fund accounting, transfer agent, depositary bank data. He is in charge of monthly reporting on activity of central administrative agent and the respective controls performed. Liaising with external and internal auditor and gathering all required information, answers related to fund accounting and transfer agent activity. Monitoring and coordinating investors, fund's and ManCo's tax reports and tax reclaims carried out for the fund by external service providers. Managing and escalating any incidents incl. NAV errors and ensuring the internal and external rules are upheld for appropriate settlement and reporting to the regulator
The ideal candidate has a bachelor degree in accounting or finance, as well as 3-4 + years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in the asset management sector (fund accounting, transfer agency etc). He is familiar with Microsoft office applications and fluent in English. French, German, Norwegian or Swedish represents an additional advantage. The candidate is service focused team player.
