Portfolio Management & Distribution Oversight / AIFMD / UCITS
Our client is a management company which manages around USD 20.3 bln of assets within approx. 100 Alternative Investment and UCITS funds (EU and non-EU structures), being one of the biggest Alternative Investment Fund Manager (“AIFM”) in Luxembourg. They are offering a permanent contract as a Portfolio Management & Distribution Oversight
The role of the candidate is to actively contribute to the oversight of the delegated function of Portfolio Management and Distribution. He performs assessment on very well known investment managers and distributors worldwide located. He actively participates and supports in any projects linked to the ManCo for which the support of the Portfolio Oversight function is required. He controls and develops the oversight of the delegated function of portfolio and Distribution activities in line with the CSSF circular 18 / 698 requirements. He assists and performs initial and ongoing due diligence questionnaire on investment managers and distributors. He produces and develops reporting on performance for senior management/Board. He reviews of the KPIs and creation of a summary report to senior management. He assists in the implementation and analysis of regulatory changes (AIFMD, ESMA guidelines). He assists during the on-site visits of delegated Portfolio Managers and Distributors. He performs pre-trade checks for daily orders and enhance the compliance system. He executes subscriptions and redemptions advice in master-feeder structure funds. He implements and develops controls to monitor master-feeder structures (cash liquidity). He liaises and coordinates with clients and service providers. The Portfolio Oversight Officer may also have to ensure support / backup with regard to various tasks of the ManCo whenever needed.
The ideal candidate has an academic degree in economics, finance or equivalent. He has a prior experience in financial services industry preferably in asset Management Company (UCITS and AIFM) or Big 4 experience. He has a good understanding of the Luxembourg fund industry. He has an analytical mind and ability to understand investment strategies. He has good communication and interpersonal skills. He has excellent written and verbal proficiency in English. Good IT skills (Excel, VBA, Access) to contribute to the automatization of current processes. Good command of Bloomberg. Capacity to organise and manage priorities and deal with stress.
