Risk Management Officer
He/She be part of the Risk Management team of the Management Company and reports directly to the Conducting Officer (CRO) in charge of the Risk Management function.
The several tasks of the candidate are :
To be part of the Risk Management team of the Management Company, reporting directly to the Conducting Officer (CRO) in charge of the Risk Management function;
To perform initial and ongoing risk assessments for each fund managed;
To assist in performing the day-to-day risk monitoring including the calculation of risk based exposures and limits as well as stress testing and back testing (when applicable);
To participate in producing regular and ad-hoc risk related reports to regulators, for Senior Management and Board of Directors of the Management Company outlining the current level of various risks incurred by each any actual or foreseeable breach to their limits;
To support the monitoring of investment compliance of the funds under management;
To act as escalation point for Central Administrators (TA, FA, Pricing & Valuation, Investment Compliance);
To keep track of and follow-up on incidents linked to Central Administrators;
To assist in undertaking both initial and ongoing due diligence on Central Administrators and Depositary, including review of documentation received and reporting of findings;
To oversee the quality of service received, including without limitation independent checks on the accuracy of NAV calculations and funds’ financial statement review, and ensure that issues are appropriately identified and addressed;
To ensuring follow-up on the detected improvement points and proper escalation to the governing bodies if needed;
To organize the various Committees needed within the framework of the Management Company's activity (Investment Committee, Pricing & Valuation Oversight Committee): meetings' requests, preparing agenda and gathering of the supporting documentation, drafting minutes, follow-up on the action points;
To assist in preparation of reports to the Board of Directors of the Management Company;
To assist in the analysis and implementation of regulatory changes (CSSF Circulars, UCITS, AIFMD, ESMA guidelines);
To be involved in various internal projects.
The candidate has an academic degree in finance, economics, mathematics or equivalent;
He/she has at least 2 years of related experience in Luxembourg fund services industry, preferably within Asset Management Company (UCITS V and AIFM);
He/she has experience in Central Administration (TA, FA, Pricing & Valuation, Investment Compliance) and Depositary/Custody activities would be significant advantage;
He/she is fluent in French and has good understanding of English;
He/she is able to write clearly, to define and review procedures and to produce comprehensive reports, to work independently and well organised;
He/she has a hand-on and can-do attitude;
He/she has a good understanding of risks related to financial instruments;
He/she is an analytical mind person and is able to understand technical subjects;
He/she is comfortable to read and understand legal documentation;
He/she has good communication and interpersonal skills;
He/she has excellent level of IT skills:
He/she has perfect command of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access);
(Knowledge of SQL and databases structures, VBA and Bloomberg tools would be considered an advantage);
He/she has awareness of fund industry related regulation;
